DEVELOPMENTAL MATHEMATICS MODULE I
Pre-requisite: Score of 110-112 on PERT and department approval.
This course provides specialized instruction in developmental mathematics concepts to prepare students for MAT 1033C, Intermediate Algebra. Topics include fundamental operations on polynomials, linear equations and inequalities with applications, factoring and its use in algebra, introduction to graphing linear equations, introduction to radicals and rational expressions. Upon completion of the P.E.R.T. diagnostic or a Mathematics division diagnostic, students will be assigned one or two topic modules. Students must complete each module with a grade of C. This course does not apply toward mathematics requirements in general education or toward any associate degree.
